Arepas
Mix flour, grated cheese and baking powder in a bowl. Add water and kneed the mixture with your hands until it is thoroughly blended into dough.
Using your hands, form the dough into small balls and then into smooth patties. Fry the arepas with oil in a pan, over medium heat, turning after 1 minute.
Put the arepas on a baking pan and bake in preheated 180° C (356 F) oven 20 minutes.


Arepas

Serves four:
250g arepa flour (yellow cornmeal)
75g grated cheese
200ml water
1 tsp. baking powder
